Mane 6 Body Headcanons

Finally finished my headcanons for the Mane 6. Whew! Put them in a few different formats for height comparisons and also a closer look at them.

Okay, now the body headcanons, which are heavily inspired by human headcanons of them too, go a little like this.

Fluttershy is the tallest of them and meant to be very long-legged and graceful. I like the idea that she is actually comparable to an Alicorn in that way. It’s part of what made her such a viable choice for a model, because of that resemblance. It’s a sought after build.

Rarity is the shortest of them. Her build is probably the most inspired by a human headcanon I saw for  her once, in which she was short and plus-sized, and I thought ‘perfect.’ She’s very body positive, and she makes clothes for any and every body type, including her own, which not many clothes are made for. Rarity did not much like that—fashion should be available to everyone, after all. Her design is heavily inspired by classic unicorns, much like Twilight’s.

Pinkie Pie is the third tallest of the group. She is a bit chubby but quite curvy. This makes her a bit thick, and you can already tell the difference in hers and Fluttershy’s legs alone. She has a tummy and her face is quite round in comparison to the others.

Rainbow Dash is the second shortest and inspired very much by the young lady weight-lifter seen on Tumblr who looked small and pixie-like but was very strong. Rainbow Dash is on the petite end of the spectrum, but she has strong legs and wings and body from her intense flying, which involves much of her body. So though she is petite, she is also rather compact.

Twilight Sparkle is the third shortest, taller than Rarity and Rainbow but shorter than Pinkie. She gets a boost in height after becoming an Alicorn. Her body type is fairly average, much like her height. Not particularly muscled or chubby or anything like that. Same as Rarity, her design is heavily inspired by classical unicorns.

Applejack is only second to Fluttershy when it comes to height. She has a thick, draft horse-esque build and is shaped much like a sideways triangle, in that her shoulders and chest are thicker and taper down into a small pair of hips and backside. Her legs are very strong though from apple bucking. The ‘socks’ on her feet are genetic from her draft horse type genes. In that same line, her face shape is also less curved and more straight.
